I thought it would be nice to share the tools and resources I use as a Writer/Google Ads/PPC/SEO & Local Map ranking specialist… if you have something cool to share, share it!

I also now use Google Docs, Google Calendar and Google Sheets, instead of word, excel, mac numbers or outlook calendar. The Google stuff just works too well. For Google sheets and docs, sharing docs with people is SO much easier than the old fashioned PDF thing.

Godaddy (480-505-8877) – The Godaddy Pro account gives 5% back on client renewals and purchases, very helpful and the support is faster/better.

TRACKING & STATISTICS

SEO Profiler (Rank Tracking Software) – Sorry MOZ, but this software is THE BEST – see AMP results, and MAP results, get ALL the page tracking, and competitor tracking; the reports are beautiful, colorful, and easy for customers to get – LOVE this software

Callfire (Call Tracking & Number) (877-897-3473) – connects with google analytics, numbers are cheap and service is flawless, does text/call blasting too

Yext – It’s unavoidable now, if you do ranking for businesses or your own, you must have a Yext account and get those directories, it’s worth the $500-$900 it costs

SOCIAL MEDIA SITES

• Facebook Business Page – Must have for a business or personal promotion
• Twitter Business Page – Must have for business
• Linkedin Company Page – Must have for business
• Crunchbase Company Page – good for ranking a business for its name, or a person
• Knowem Social Site – Creates hundreds of social media accounts in minutes – BIG ONE ============

• The Way Back Machine – An archive of websites for the past 10 years; helpful in finding missing/deleted data or even content mining
• Ultimate Malware/Virus Checker – Simple site but the BEST at showing you where the malware is on a website
• Case Converter – Converts text to proper, lower, and upper case, huge time saver
• MS Word / HTML Converter – HUGE helper in converting MS word documents into HTML for WordPress sites
• Google Keyword Planner – Must have research keywords
• PPC Match Type Tool – To make fast PPC keyword lists with match types without needing to use excel formulas

PLUGINS FOR WORDPRESS WEBSITES

• Wordfence – The best website firewall software there is for website security, tells you a ton of data about who is on the site, their IP addresses, blocks based on location etc… great tool, must-have on every site
• Really Simple SSL – Installing an SSL and having problems? This might solve it.
• Yoast – Best SEO plugin (though it’s parameters for titles and descriptions indicator bar seems to always be 10-30 characters off
• Contact Form 7 – Best for forms, best 2 step form as well
