How Long Should People Stay On The Website For A Good Engagement Level?

As of 2021 and 2022, reports and statistics have shown that the average website has an engagement level of about 10 to 15 seconds. This means a person will visit the website and in four seconds you have to grab their attention and deliver a message within the next 10 seconds. A phenomenal engagement level would be above two minutes.

Statistics have also shown that people who stay on the site longer are more likely to make a purchase because you have engaged them.

You have caught their interest and hopefully educated them on something they did not know but wanted to know. You have built the trust and credibility with this person and now they trust you enough to buy from you whether it’s a service product or idea. That’s what an engagement level is.
